WORLD WAR 2
We learnt a lot when studying ww2 it was a real reminder of what I learnt in my old school.
It was interesting, I learnt heaps of stuff about it.
We learnt that the German dropped more bombs in ww2 than they did in ww1
I also learnt that the Germans some times dropped bombs on the country or they would save them to drop on the city,
There were a number of places to hide from the bombers, the Anderson shelter was one of them. It was so small it only just held one family. The Morrison shelter as another and some of them are almost the same size as a school classroom.
Life in the war was unpleasant especially in the tiny Anderson shelter.

New Friends
This year I have enjoyed making new friends, because I only started last November. Me and my friends sometimes have an misunderstanding but we either work it out at lunch or we make up the next day.
Despite the fact that I started last November I really enjoy working with other people in the classroom. Before I started this school I was quite shy around other people but at this school I feel like
I can. I have enjoyed having Mr. Bates as a teacher but now I am excited about having Mrs. Jackson as a teacher in year 6.

Tag rugby tournament!
The tag rugby tournament was on my friend’s birthday, the 27th of January, 2010. I had to miss it because I was picked out for the tournament. I was really exited because I never did this before and sad because I missed her birthday.
When we got there I was nervous because I couldn’t remember what to do. The first match was called up. Aarrh. I was scared but exited.
When we got in to the pitch, I said to my self, “oh no, why did I put my name forward!”
I had the ball in my hands then the dreadful word came out of this boy’s mouth. It was TAG! Who to pas to? There was Oliver, who was surrounded by people or Josephine, who was far away. So, I risked the chance of Oliver getting tagged. He managed to score!
A couple of matches pasted.
We were all nervous. Who was playing the semi finals? I couldn’t hear what the sports woman was saying but we were through! Yes through! We were jumping over the moon! Whooooooohooo! We played and played hard, but we lost. Then we had a match against some of the year six’s and we beat them! When we got awarded the silver plate I was thrilled. I can’t believe that we came from a small village and came seconded. It was one of the best days of sports.

Holt Hall
My Holt Hall review sentences.
1. When we arrived we had to find our rooms and we were told to not run. Some people did, but I didn’t.
2. When I got to my bedroom it was quite big. There were 5 bunk beds.
3. After lunch we did five activities. I did all of them. When our team went on the one when you had to make a protective cover, we sort of got lost. Suddenly, we got there.
4. After tea, we had a short bat walk. When we went up the steep steps Joe hurt his leg.
We went to Holt Hall because….. we can team up with different people instead of always working with your friends.
Was it fun? YES

Fantastic Football
This is a poem about football. About how good we are and about our manger, hope you enjoy
Football is the best thing ever
Carbrooke will be beaten never
Mr Bates is the best
Much more better than all the rest
We always win all of the time
Now all the other teams think it’s a crime
Carbrooke football team never to die.
